Travis Place, Big Cheese Morning Show (WBCV 107.9) and Operations & Brand Manager in Plover, Wisconsin had the pleasure of hanging out with the “King of Rock & Roll” and the “Queen of Radio” last week at the Maple Ridge Family Concert in Plover. Lilly is 102 and had a lifelong dream of singing on the radio. We were able to cross that off her bucket list last Christmas when she came on The Big Cheese Morning Show and performed “Silent Night.” It was because of Lilly that Trav received “Morning Show of the Year” from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association. Lilly’s birthday’s right around the corner, so Trav was thinking, what do you get someone for their 103rd birthday? It was obvious, you give them the award! Happy birthday, Lilly.
