| Omaha's KKAR Radiothon Raises Over $61,000 for Charity
On Friday, December 11, 2009, KKAR-AM hosted its 13th annual radiothon for the Child Saving Institute. The station was overwhelmed with donations totaling over $61,500 for the local charity whose mission is to prevent, intervene, and treat child abuse and neglect.

Some of the kids helped by the event stopped by to sing Christmas carols on-air.

Mulberry Lane stopped by to sing for Neil and tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.

Current UNO Athletic Director and former Nebraska Cornhusker standout Trev Alberts stopped by to talk UNO sports with Terry Leahy and help raise money for the Child Saving Institute.
